Hi Guys (and gals),

I run an online tyre business, and simply, I was wondering what the stance is on commercial posts on this forum?

I would like to have a presence on here so I can answer any questions etc. people might have (and I might even be able to offer a discount to forum members...), but if this isn't ok then I shall disappear!

I haven't posted my website link yet because I don't want to break any rules! :)

Cheers,
Toby

Don't take this as gospel but I think some people on here have a link to their web site at the bottom of any posts they make. keep reading all the posts and have a look.
Don't spam or you will get shot down.

Yep, I definitely don't intend to spam, just might post a link when I feel it could be genuinely helpful!

Methinks I'll wait for an admin response before I post anywhere else :), thanks though wickford.

wow.....a spamming bastid with manners:D
There is a section here for spamming bastids....think its called 'section for spamming bastids' so it might take a bit of finding

If you wanna join in chat there's no problem in letting folk know what you do.....but if you just post a link once a week your gonna get burned

being helpful and answering problems gives you brownie points - spamming dont. So if yu can help someone with one of your products, that is acceptable.

as said stick the link in your signature and in the 'section for spamming bastards' then have a laugh and join in with the banter ;)

:D Somehow I didn't think to type that into the search box ;)

Okie dokie, I will do my best to join in and be helpful, although I don't own a landrover (yet...) so my input may be slightly limited! If only you had a computer/electronics section, I'd be right at home...

there will be plenty of that in the anything goes section ;) people come on here because we have people from all walks of life, there are quite a few members of the motortrade, agriculture and building trade we even have a tree butcher and a space twot

Dont worry...just find out what the biggest tyre you can fit on every variation of Landy is and you'll be more than useful :D

As for puters we,re all on em......stuff like that is usually in 'Anything Goes'.....but it int fer the shy

I thought they'd be a bit more advanced than land rovers in outer space?? Or is there a new model I'm not aware of...

Full marks to ya Tyre Buyer for your tentative approach first. Most eejjiits just come in and spam straight off. I guess you might have had one or two attempts either on other sites or here under a different name and have learned from that.

Nice to have you join us and welcome.

Nope mate, we're a fairly new business so this is the first time I've done anything like this. I've just been a forum user for many years so I know what it's like! Plus every forum seems to have a different stance on it :p

well....budget cutbacks and all that
Ahh, didn't know the recession was that far-reaching. Well, you learn something new every day!
