View attachment 96467 Yes there very sturdy, they weigh in 6kg more than a standard door!
Pricewise they will be under £200, which is a lot less than anyone else and your geting a far stronger door that's not going to rust.

look lovely , but dont undersell and end up a busy fool.
I was thinking about making these as they are a terrible week point
good luck!

Hi Eric, im a bit old school, i don't have cnc equipment etc when i was an apprentice we were taught how to problem solve and if there wasn't a tool for the job then we made one, so i have done so here, made formers for the top corners and the main frame and for pressing the hole into the skin for the door handle etc, jigs and templates have been made using an original lr door, a fair bit of effort but it's rewarding work.
There is a hole for the wiper motor, and its got a strengthing plate behind it to stop it cracking through, i haven't drilled through the door skin though as the guy testing that door wasn't fitting a wiper.
Door card holes i haven't looked at, i had it in my head to make a pressed metal card with a felt type material cover, and also to have inserts fitted before galvanising for these and window grilles to match.
The windows are as standard, bonding with the screwed on alu strips.
