Hi

Need some help with my heating. I'm not a mechanic type but was wondering whether I might be able to fix this myself.

The heating isn't working - blower turns on ok but the air coming through only gets very slightly warm (even when its not cold!).

Any tips/ideas? Does the Landy Haynes manual give you enough info to be able to fix any possible problems?

Thanks!

Tis an easy fix.
Sounds like either your matrix is sludged up- requires a flush out with a hose pipe or your heater flap is set perm on cold air :)
either way do a search theres a walk through type thread on here somewhere on how to refurb the Defender heater.
I did mine a few weeks ago- wow what a difference. Warm air now before I'm out of the village :) Toasty.

As tiv said above , make sure the flap arm is pointing to the passenger side ..

Does the engine get up to the correct operating temperature as if not, the thermostat is likely to be sticking open?
