Hi there, I have a FL '99, 1,8 with A/C. The fan only works at step 3 and 4. I ordered new resistors from Rezpax. Trying to locate them, but it seems rather difficult. Looked at this post; http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f38/freelander-heater-fan-speed-fix-138395.html but this must be a car without A/C. Also looked at the Rezpax instruction on their site, but it was not very useful. Have searched for a DYI for this, but is unable to find it. Can anybody help with pictures/description/links? Thanks.

That is where the resistor pack is located in my 1998 Freelander (drivers footwell) but it does not have AC - my 2005 one does so will check tomorrow :)

I thought most of the AC stuff was in the passenger side.

hello there,
I have the same trouble with mine,
here are some fotos of its location, I had already removed a large flexible tube that conects the motor to the A/C evaporator when the pictures where taken, in your car it might be behind it too,
remember my car has the driver side on the left so for some installed parts driver/passenger sides might be switched.

the heater resistor is that green part with 2 screws.

hope it helped

Thanks Miguel, just the pictures I was looking for. My car is a left hand drive too, so it should be just fine. Will try to replace it next week.

I couldn't find the exact resistors so I used pen strings instead. It is working but I don't know if they as are strong as the resistors

For what it's worth, I wrote that original 'How To' and my car was a 1998 L series Diesel WITH A/C. Maybe as yours is LHD it is different..?
