Hi All,
recently purchased a 40K discovery in Germany for the new family bus. Loving it, like new. Have an issue with the heater only blowing warm in the Left hand side drivers position, the back and passenger side vents blow cold.

What's the possible problem here?

I'm assuming it's a V6 2.7 diesel? It'll almost certainly be the CCV - it's a valve within the cooling circuit that provides hot and cold to each side of the car.

Replacement valve approx £100.

Hi Biglad,
thanks for your reply, spot on, its the TDV6, could it possibly be the blender servo? How difficult is the change over of the CCV, easy enough to get to?

To be honest my experience with this engine & the CCV is in the Jaguar S-type so I'm not sure how difficult access is on the DIII, but on the Jag it's quite straightforward.

Re the heater flap servos, it could be those, but I believe they are a bit of a bastard to get at as they are within the dashboard, certainly on the Jag.

Does the Climate Control panel have any built-in test functions? Might be an idea to join up with Discovery3.com on the web.

Sorry I can't be of more help,
Dave
