so guys the 90 goes in for the head gasket doing next week,and i have a leak on the heater matrix,copper pipe that points down rubbed away on sharp edge of matrix.anyway can i just pop a piece of copper pipe on the two hoses to by pass the heater ?

See I use the heater when engine gets too hot, which it does now and then.
But otherwise no issue

Ran my old Series IIa for two years with the heater bypassed - no problems.
