If anyone has paid to have a Freelander heater matrix replaced I would be interested to know what it cost. ( Quite likely 'an arm and a leg' )

£340 odd from memory. Like most cars these days the dash board has to come out to get to the matrix, so at least 3 hrs labour.

Thanks DD3 for the reply. Your figure seems very reasonable. I hope mine costs the same but I fear the worst!

This was from a good indie, RCV in Tonbridge Kent and thinking further cost may have been nearer £400. You can DIY it but is quite a big job. I did one years back on a Sierra but would not tackle today as just dont have the time (or the will).

Had mine done 18 months ago... by an independant LR specialist...labour was much more than 3 hours.

Costs if converted would come to about 500 to 600 pounds.... Actual matrix cost then was about 300 pounds if I recall. But labour charges in South Africa are probably a lot cheaper than yours... so not a good comparison.
