What does the single levered mech actually do?
On mine I have a melted electrical terminal and a botched spring contact.
I cant work out why there is a notch for the spring halfway through the lever's travel nor why there is a ball notchy thing making the lever click into three positions ...why?
And lastly, what does the bowden cable on that control link up to?
Non-britpart units are over £60 and 2nd hand units are lacking around these parts.... Would like to repair this one but fear that someone can suggest design improvements it may be another short term fix.
