Right. Have a heated windscreen on my D2, doesn't work and I don't know why.

Getting battery voltage and continuity at fuses 7 and 8, switch lights up, turns off after a while.

Have swapped relay for a known good.

Don't have voltage at the windscreen connectors, so I'm assuming theres something buggered between fuses and connectors.

Any pointers?

The HFS connectors are hardwired to the fusebox connector so if you have voltage out of the fuses means the relay works too so the problem is most probably within the fusebox or at the connector unless the loom is interrupted somewhere so lift up the fusebox and check for voltage in C0578 pins 1 - 3 (RAVE - Elecrical library - connector views)

could also mean your windscreen has packed up. Seems to be quite common.
I have power to each connector at each end of windscreen but screen does not work.
Plenty of similar posts. Just a Disco thing.

Bit of jiggery pokery has got proper voltage at both front windscreen connectors. Buggered if I can tell you what I did. Mostly wire wiggling and replacing apparently good fuses.

At this point, I assume either the windscreen will work in the morning, or I need to drive a bit too close to gravel lorries for a few weeks.

mine works! all 1 wire in it, they are a joke! i had a new one fitted on my last car, 80% worked! wouldn't recommend getting it done in July like i did, but had too cos it had a big crack in it,
