Hi Guys
New on here , so had a quick search and cant find anything so.....
I have put a heated windscreen in my disco wiring loom was already present, so I purchased a switch and relay and put in and still doesn't work. there is power to the relay but not to the switch. all the relevant fuses also have power.
Any ideas before a trip to the local independent garage:cool2:

There's no power at the switch (other than the illumination on pin 2).

The switch makes a momentary path to earth, to signal the BCU to switch on the heated windscreen for the timed period.

The BCU does this by switching the heated windscreen relay's coil to earth.

So, you will have power at the relay, but it's not being switched to the windscreen.

The heated windscreen setting needs enabling in the BCU

This can be done with Nanocom, Hawkeye, etc..., or by a main dealer or specialist garage.
