Went out this morning to a slight frost turned on the heated screen and only the n/s defrosted. Is the screen knackered or is it likely to be a wiring fault if so is the wiring accessable and where is it so i can check i have a power feed to it.Any advice would be welcome

I fixed mine with a fibre glass pen and some silver conductive paint.:bowl:

Or you could accidently smash it, and claim on the insurance.

Hi
LR owner info site down at the moment, but if i'm not wrong there are 2 fuses for the heated windshield in the engine compartment. One for RH side and one for the LH. Have a quick look in your owners manual.

Nope
It's front. It's split in two halves because of the size and the resistanze of the tiny threads in the glass.

UPDATE:
Supplemetary (small) fusebox in engine compartment: Fuse 1 and 2 30A

It came with the "Facelift" late 2003. Standard on SE and HSE model, option on the S........ at least her in Norway.

If its anything like my last screen, the fuses are ok and the problem will be the earth point. Remove the plastic vents in front of the windscreen. Behind these are the connectors to the elements. Check the state of the earth bond..... mine needed a good cleaning :D

I had one of these on my old ford fiesta, it was the best thing on it, all cars should have this on the front.

I dont think I have a heated front screen, is this just on later models?

I don't have one either. Think they were only fitted to better specced cars. Would've ben nice but then again would probably have died by now..............
