My freelander is a 2000 model diesel

When i bought it last december it came with Leather interior i have the wirinbg for the seats hanging loose and want to make up a loom

I took my ns seat out and checked under the carpet and i have no wiring loom so need to make my own

Heated seat switches from landy are rather silly money so is there a way of doing it using other switches or some sort of timer

Hope this makes sense

Thanks Matt

Do your seats have heating elements in them? Just it might not if the wirings not there, otherwise a fused switch operating a relay to control the heating element should work,

I have the wiring hanging from the seats just no wiring in the car so makes me think previous people put the seats in and id like them wiring in coz i dnt wnt my bum getting cold... lol

Will any switch and relay work i wasnt sure if it was a timed system or something like that

Sorry I see you said that the first time, must have missed it, aye they're not on a timer, I'm not sure if they need a unit to stop them over heating though .

No timer required for the seats. The heaters work on the PTC principle, once they are up to temperature the heaters draw less power so maintain a comfortable temperature. You need to get a couple of switchs from a breakers and make up a harness to connect it all up.

Was thinking of getting a couple of rocker switches with built in led

Was just the type of system it used but no timer makes it easier

Do you no what the amps the system would draw dont wanna use under powered relays and wires

You can take the 12v supply from the internal fuse box. I think that heater pads are rated at 50 watts, this equates to around 8 amps per seat.
