I have the same problem with a non working heated screen in my TD5 and would be grateful for any advice and does this thread regarding a 300 series also apply to mine? Thanks

Slightly different, basically the dash switch tells the BCM to provide the supply to the screen via relay check that the supply is there first if not work backwards, if it is then screen is at fault.

The dash switch lights up ok and once again i can't find a fuse anywhere! Where would the relay be located? Thanks

I dont have a D2 but the fuse list says F7 & F8 HFS may be thats heated front screen and the relay is no.8 thats pluged into the fuse box also.

Best to check the fuse list in your handbook.

Right finally an update for mine, It is a relay tucked up under the passenger footwell, sorry I can't remember the relay number as I just threw it at my local garage and said order me one in but if anyone needs I will post when I get the new one. I still can not find any fuse that corresponds to the screen but as a new relay will get it working I'm not that fussed.
