Allegedly behind the glove box but I can't see them. Anyone any pointers?

On the '91 Classic the two 25 amp heated screen fuses are mounted adjacent to the bank of steering column mounted relays. So take off the panel under the dash (above the pedals) and you should find them.

I'll have a look in Rave to see if they were moved for the later soft dash models but I don't think they were.

according to the haynes manual :
the circuit is protected by 2 plug-in 25a fuses located next to the relays on the steering column

O.K. according to Rave, on a '95 soft dash it says the in line heated front screen maxi fuse is located RH front of engine compartment behind battery. The location picture is pointing to a small fuse box just behind the radiator header tank.

The heated screen fuse block is behind the LH side of fascia on bracket. I think this is your reference to being behind the glove box, but it looks like it might actually on the side panel, so I would pop that off and see if there is a collection of relays and fuses, it looks like at that location there are also the Auxilary lamp, dim/dip, sunroof, power wash, condenser fan and bulb check relays. Sorry I can't give you more than that, the image on Rave is not exactly crystal clear.

Thanks guys. The glovebox reference actually came from the handbook!
I'll have a look on RAVE

94 Mike.
Rave does indeed say there are 2 fuses by the bonnet pull on the passenger side and an inline maxi fuse (whatever that is) between the coolant reservoir and battery.
I'll look again.
