I have just received a replacement glass for the driver's side, and although the Advert said "heated" there's no wires, just a plain glass.
Is the "heater" for the mirror glass, part of the carrier frame or have I been had?

The aftermarket heated versions have two small spade connectors.

Not many OS heated mirrors on eBay, but plenty of NS heated. OS are often more expensive than NS.

actually it sounds like you've bought a 'stick-on' one(sticks on your existing cracked/faded mirror glass

Island have heated ones, I replaced mine a few years ago now, about a tenner plus vat but, they're £13.99 now.
edit, just had another look RH ones are £16.50, for some reason.

I agree, but their ad said otherwise, see below.

The clue is no pictures of the rear contacts.

Probably because the right mirror gets hit by oncoming vehicles more often !!

Just raised it with them and they said "heating element with contacts is separate in the package".
I replied "Nope, All I got was a plain mirror and 3 sticky pads".
