One of my headlights isn't working. Swapped the bulbs over but it made no difference. Side/parking lights work on both sides though. Do the headlights have separate fuses?

on my '95 300 TDi, in the fascia fuse box : headlamps are F10 (left) and F11 (right) and main beam F5 (L) and F4(R)

Just had a thought, the problem occurred shortly after taking it through a car wash with underbody jets. Does this give any indication as to what it killed?

So:

- Mainbeam/dipped beam LH doesn't work but sidelights do
- RH mainbeam/dipped beam works fine
- Dash lights work
- Checked bulbs
- Haven't checked fuses yet

I would check fuses and tweak connectors first, then take a voltmeter to check from fuse to bulb (or the other way round) checking if +12 is present after each connector, there aren't so many places to check
if you don't have it you should download the ETM (electrical troubleshooting manual) for your model-year Disco (or take the full RAVE), that will help you to quickly locate connectors, pins and cable colors
wish you a good trip in the electrical guts of the beast
