Hi All I have a 1998 300 tdi
Was traveling on road last week and saw temperature rising , stopped immediately before needle hit the top,
Didnt want to take any chances ..looked under bonnet and smokey steam everywhere got trailerd home .
Friend of mine put a compression tester on it and 5 bar on each piston, but water pump knacked .fixed it and also new thermostat ,but noticed crackes around the glow plug ports ,so removed the head ..now need to know are the cracks anything to worry about or should i just get another head any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
