Hello all,

I've just been out in my defender 110 (1995) and my dash lights, side lights and head lights have failed - thankfully main beam still works. This was while doing a timid green lane - they flickered, then went out.

Does anyone know what have may caused this or has experienced the same problem?

Is is the stalk, fuse, wiring etc.

Any help would be great.

Check the fuse first. It is most likely a chaffed wire or broken earth though.

That's what i first thought Ratty but on checking, that would be about 4 fuses i think! (each L/R headlight has one and sidelights and dash lights are individual ones too i think)

Sounds like the Stalk is goosed Mrs B was having the same problem in her disco.

Thats very true oddie.

I had a similar fault with my old 110 csw. I can't remember if it was the dim/dip relay in the end or the fog light relay. I went through all the wiring, the switch, fuses etc. It drove me nuts. It would all work one day and not the next.

fuses, are they the blade or the glass ones. the glass ones tend to lose connection for no apperent reason, it might be a case of just wiggling the fuses

Hello all,

Got it sorted, was a fecked stalk. Bought a new one (from Land Rover parts, spares, Land Rover accessories, all models) for £30 delivered and replaced it last night.
