Get yourself a small gerry can with fuel in it and run a short piece of hose from the injection pump straight to the can in the engine bay. Then try running it. That way you will rule out the whole fuelling system. If it runs fine from a petrol can then you need to work your way along the fuel lines/filter etc and see if you can find the issue. It might take a bit cranking to start the first time off the can but once the airs out it should be fine. Also try cracking injectors to bleed air out
Hi All
An update, i have put in a new VDO fuel pump, and it still doesn't start!
The only thing i am concerned about is the copper washers on the injectors. In truth i wasn't to perticular when putting these on, so would any distorsion in these washer cause the none starting? It will start after lots of cranking but only run for 1 minute.
Obviously there is air in the system still, and both fuel pumps i have tried are noisy with squishy noises.
I'm ready to getting the sledge hammer out and modify it permenantly!!
Forgot it was a td5 for injectors. Should still be able to run off a Gerry can providing its higher than the injection pump. Worth a shot anyway.
