hi i just bought an L322 diesel had it a few days someone steamed down engine on it now the hdc inactive comes up on computer and suspension inactive also comes up. if anybody knows where to look for the sensors i will be greatful jamie:confused:

Sounds like water is causing a short after you steamed cleaned it?? Only thing i can suggest cheap and cheerful option, is to get some water repellent (like WD40 or Plusgas which is a slightly lighter oil) and give it a good spay to dislodge the water ingress, use the red tube to get in to the nooks and crannies

hi i think your right about the wd but i dont know where the sensors are on the vehicle to spray them cheers

I had the same HDC Inactive warning over the weekend when I took the RR to the LRM show. I put it down to the fact that I had a portable fridge plugged in when I turned the car over to go to the show. On the way back the car had the same message which I put down to the fact that the battery hadn't fully recharged itself since the fridge was unplugged 2 days before.

Since we've been back the warning has gone away again (presumable the battery is back to running speed!).

hi everyone , just wanted to ask someone that on my rangerover vogue im getting hdc inactive message on dash, and when its a cold morning my car struggles to start, which tells me its the battery, but is this normal or faulty altenater or i need to buy a new battery, if i do put a new battery is it something ill do my self or does it affect the memmory.
also i changed the rear lens and after that day 'check sidelight comes up 'even when every bulb lights up..

Hi, Could someone help.
My RR vogue 2005 just gave me the HDC inactive and Air Susoension inactive messages with the ABS and brake warning lights also on. I reset by turning engine off and on and turning sterring fully to both sides and all messages cleared but came back in a few minutes later.
PLS HELP!

I've come to the conclusion that only qualified range rover software programers (Bosch) with a degree in quantum physics should own an L322 :)

hi jamie i also get warnings of a various nature and i think its defo water ingress as my lights front and back are always steamed up and i would like to know if anyone could tell me how to stop this cheers

cheers wil my mechanic did say my battery was understrengh i did put it down to water in my lights cos when i changed wy driverside indicater it was full of water and the symtoms was on heavey braking and accelleration before i changed said light my air susspention inactive was on all the time so was convinced the water swilling up and down was the cause

i read a thread on here about a month ago where someone removed the lights and drilled small holes in the base somewhere and it cured the problem,do a search

the battery has to be the correct one and they aint cheap.ive just replaced mine this week £135 trade price,i opted for a varta silver dynamic type 020 with 5 years warranty :),a genuine landrover was £150 but only came with 1 year warranty as it was listed as a replacement part  it has to be 100% good anything less causes all sorts of problems and winters coming.
