Hello All

i was driving my disco 2.0 mpi when the hazards come on not showing on the switch or the dash ? Only way to stop them was to pull out the 15 amp fuse for the remote central locking as soon as you put the fuse back in the lights start flash ans central locking does not work even with the fuse in ?

Thanks for reading any ideas would be great

Did u hit a bump? if so u may have activated of the crash inertia sensor, which switches on the hazards and unlock the doors if locked.

Turning the ignition on off and on again will reset the sensor, all the exact info on this is in the owners handbook.

Thanks

Does that still stand if the switch does not light up and the light on the dash does not light up either?

thanks

Don't know, maybe, maybe not, I've never had this issue and can't find any more info on it, I would expect them to illuminate but if not so be it.

This subject has been mentioned once or twice before but nothing has been mentioned about the lack of dash lamps showing.

Mine just been doing this and it turns out to be the alarm pack under the passenger side cover under dash. I have to turn off the ignition press the button on my key fob acouple times and then start the truck again and its fine. Tends to happen when hitting bumps or someone taps it with theyre feet.

Thanks all

Once you said about going over bumps i remembered i did go over alot of cattle grids in the country side when it happened. I tried the ignition reset with the key and it worked i have central locking again now.

Thanks again for your help
