Hi there guys, this is my first post so apologies if its a repeat,
I made the decision to swap my pajero for a discovery, however whilst out playing i went through a ditch with to sharp an aproach angle. the truck came to a dead stop from around 15mph it was enough force to bend bumper brackets however it also did 'something' to the electrics. The hazards came on and the central locking stopped working. I checked the green alarm box in the passenger foot well, it all seems ok and was fixed tightly in place.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help

its an inertia switch like sierrafery said. its for when you have a crash it opens all the doors and deactivates the central locking and at the same time puts hazzard lights on.

Not quite it doesn't open the doors, but it does unlock them 'if' locked. Turning the ignition off and on will reset.

Nice to know what disco your talking about and :welcome2: to the Forum.

Its a 1997 discovery 1, 300TDI. Thanks for that peeps I'll try the inertia switch although turning the ignition off doesn't affect it as i had to disconnect the battery to stop it flashing itself into a flat battery induced coma!!!
