I have been to one or two 'pay and play-ish' events held there, ive always heard about them through a friend who i no longer see. I think its normally a rotary club or a land rover club that organise them, just wondering if anyone knew when the next one is. Its Hawkstone Park in Staffordshire i think, its not far from Market Drayton

cheers Rich

I found out on the Market Drayton Rotary website that the 4x4 day was the 21st! Missed it by a week ffs. But i think there is a landrover club that does a similar thing there aswell as a challenge event

Are there any places left if i was to book this weekend? We are waiting to make sure my dads truck is fixed before we book.

If your looking for professional 4x4 off road training, then please contact us or have a look at Skid Marks
We are able to offer Lantra and Rospa off road training. Ensure when booking training that the courses are accredited not just the instructors. Both Lantra and Rospa are happy to provide details of accredited training providers

many thanks

What do you call proffesional off road training? To what level?

We are one of companies accredited by Rospa to deliver off road training. Many may say they are Rospa trained instructors. We also deliver Lantra training. All our courses ensure you meet your obligations under the HSE and PUWER. Since the corporate manslaughter act came into force in 2008 many companies are now taking training more serious as it may now be the boss in court not the driver.

Ratty if want to know more of if I can help let me know annd I hope to have info for you later regarding the Plain

All training has to cover what driving you may come up against during your normal work. HSE states all training should be " suitable, appropriate and adequate"

Has anyone else been to hawkstone ?,

I've been a few times now, it's a good site not alot of mud but lot's of technical/trails sections where you can experiment with tyre pressure's, driving style's etc.

bin the spammering fool

What, and lose the contact details etc of a good off road site? Seems genuine enough, and is providing useful info. I've been to Hawkstone park a couple of times and its a good site, however its not the usual pay & play (the times I was there was with AWDC).
