I'm not sure what's out but either the props are the wrong or something else pitty I haven't got a defender to measure for you. hopefully ta something silly is there a difference between disco and defender gearbox x members that may explain things?

There is but the disco cross member picks up on some of the holes already in the chassis. I've read a lot of posts from james Martin about doing the conversion, where other people have asked similar questions, and everything has gone just as I expected it too. I'm hoping JM might pop along and give me some pointers. Itl be PM time otherwise lol.

Just to add, it is standard ride height, and the axles are from a disco which were fitted before I had it. It's been a hybrid cock up from day one, and I'm somewhere close to getting it all right now. I hope!

cross member looks to be fitted right ,rear prop should have enough slide to be levered off rear t/box flange bolts just

Oh yeah, I mean I put it in tonight after work, without any levering needed, it went in by hand. Is it right that the front one has so much more slide than the rear? I've since noticed having looked at the workshop manual, that I haven't phased the front one properly, I've set it up as I would with a wagon and aligned the 2 yokes.
