i have been searching through the forums about p38 4.6 fuel consumption, and it would seem that 13 to 15 mpg or even more seems to be the going rate.so why does my tub do approx 11mpg?(lpg) is my right foot got a divers boot on it or are the other threads hans christian anderson jobs?

Obviously how and where you drive makes a difference. Lots of town driving will increase your consumption. But has your vehicles been regularly serviced and well maintained? The biggest improvement I've seen on my vehicle was replacing diff oil.

mornin'

also, don't forget you will get slightly less mpg on lpg than you do on petrol - stil cheaper thatn a diesel tho'

on mine (95l lpg tank, so @ 80% = 76l of gas) I get about 280 miles which equates to about 16mpg on gas

Gas is around 15% less efficent than Petrol...

My 4.6's on Petrol got around the 17mpg mark....MyClassic 3.9 on a single point LPG was closer to 11-12mpg and my L322 is returning 15.3mpg

Mine gets about 180 to 200 miles per 72 l of lpg so about 11 or 12 mpg lots of average driving but do drive fairly briskly

round town and a short slow run into Birmingham today on petrol, i was sitting at 15.2 on the comp. and that was no faster than 40 at anytime. but i must admit, changing the diff oils DOES seem to have improved it. last week doing the same run i was down to 10.3. but i dont feather the throttle, i drive it up to 2k and let it change around that area.

I kept a record of my comsumption since March (2012) and I have an average of 21.96L/100km which is in MPG (Imperial) 12.863436.

The lowest ever recorded was 15.35223 MPG and highest (strangely when I gave my car to Land Rover) was 9.171463.

I know for a fact that I can go above the 550km (341.754 miles) and maybe reach 600km on Mway and Mway only. Driving around in the City is a killer. Nut indeed driving smoothly and control your distance to avoid unnecessary break is helping a lot!

PS my car is not modded for LPG.
