Hi all,

Ive got an early 1994 300tdi disco which ive bought an egr blanking kit for. Had a look under the bonnet but i dont think ive got an egr. Does anyone know if they didnt have egr's on early 300's?

So you went out and bought the blanking kit before having a look to see if you had an egr? Not clever.
 
I would check to see if there is a bit next to your turbo that looks like the blanking plate you have bought if not take a pic of your engine and someoen will tell you

Have a look at the pic of the front exhaust section in this link, the bulge near the bend is the cat.

Heh, that lozenge plate with two bolts is the de-egr that's already there .. ;)
 
If you want to replace the cat for a non-cat exhaust cheaply, my 300Tdi Disco has a Defender front exhaust pipe . £20 instead of £50+ for the Disco flexy pipe ..;)

does that fit direct to the centre pipe without modification?
