Hi all,

As above, these guys seem to offer a cheaper solution to the p38 key, has anyone used them? If so any good?
Thanks,
Jack

Yup, chopped pork shoulder meat, with ham meat added, salt, water, modified potato starch as a binder, and sodium nitrite as a preservative.

Glad I was wrong but can't help you with your original question.

G~

Only Land Rover can provide P38 fobs that work.

Although I agree, I do wander if this will work, I had a quick look and the list on the left hand side isn't a massive list and its not like they are all a certain make or model, just seems a random list , still probably wouldn't waste my hard earned on it ( unless it was stupidly cheap )

No one that I have heard of makes a FOB that will operate on the P38, although it is technically possible to do so, the cost makes it a no no. I would be interested to hear if this one works, who is going to take the risk?

Yes I have a friend who has bought from them for his P38.Only the fob and not the mechanical key. They seem to work okay other than the lazy locking feature which seems a bit intermittent.

avon diagnostics used to do them but i think there trade only now,but be warned my remote from avon lost its sync and will NOT resync in the normal ways as with a genuine remote,

Thanks guys,
I think I,ll give it a go, local main dealer turn around is ages and these chaps have said 5 days tops!
I'll report back how I got on !!

Hi, I went to order a key for my P38 yesterday and after 10 minutes was told that RR no longer do keys 3 or 4 ?

I have one that works and one which is in bits. I assume I have key 1 and 2.

My problem is which one to order 1 or 2 as I have a 50/50 change of getting the wrong one.

Apparently the dealer is looking into this as they have only just found this out themselves.

Any Idea’s (they are £148 inc)

They have given you duff information, the ordering proceedure and/or part numbers have changed. Do a search there was a thread on it a while back:)

The only worry is whether the guy doing the keys is on holiday or not - yes there's just one bloke responsible for P38 keys!

The two keys are a slightly different colour of grey - not sure which way round it is but one is lighter than the other....

This has been disputed by others on here, but I read it somewhere and also the keys I had for all 3 of my P38's were different shades....

EDIT: Just been doing a further digging to see if I can find the original article on colour codes - seems like the later key fobs weren't colour coded and made from the same colour plastic, where as the earlier ones were.!!!....
