Problem solved ,100 pounds spent for nothing (hub bearing ,new knuckle ) eventually harshness had been caused by rear right brake disk cover which touched to brake disk and only when car was in "under load" condition

Harshness had been transferred through chassis to front suspension what mislead me totally.

Today rainy trip reveal that I was wrong and too optimistic

Groaning and some harshness remained unchanged however I see (more hear and feel) that previously I had doubled causes and now only one unfortunately undiscovered remains

Today I traveled few km my friend who is also mechanic however with more theoretical knowledge ,harshness and sound like groaning or whining is hearable mostly when I accelerate however harshness and slight vibration at the peak of every gear (approx 2200 rpm I normal gear mode) according to him is cause by the same problem

According to authorized dealt "specialist" from Cracow that harshness at the top of every gear change is normal at that my models with tdv8 engines , so I assumed that its normal and that additional sound is ok , from today I confused

I read a lot at different forums when similar problems had been described and some of them were solved by mega flush of Gearbox (GB) fluid , other by new software upload to GB

Hard to say what to diagnose next , no faults on engine or other electronics parts, gears are changing flawlessly in both direction In all modes (d,s & manual) GB fluid new level ok(straight to lower control hole edge)

Any other bearing worth to hear when car is lifted with free wheels? Maybe front or rear diff ?

As far as I see i still have old oil in diffs (all changed except diffs)

All I am afraid mostly is Gearbox issues (zf62xx)
However it's only some high frequency vibration -groaning and sound connected with it ,no slipping ,knocking or creaking

Advice guys what to do ?

This is my first RR lovely car , but that one imperfection keep me awake at night

Any place where I can find all or most gearbox(zf6) failure symptoms description?

Does zf6 has the same problems as zf5?

Hahaha....in Poland we say TTT what in English means "that types have it" this is a slogan when technicians are not able to help or they don't want to ;-)

Not sure if it helps but my 2003 4.4 vogue had a similar issue. It was most noticeable going up a slight incline with revs between 1000 and 1600, the rev counter would also go up and down on its own, felt a vibration like driving over a cattle grid. I changed all fluids, gearbox inc filter, front and rear diff plus the transfer box - oil was very burnt looking in them all. Difference after this was amazing - car is now very smooth and no further problems.

All i nees to change is diffs oil ,tomorrow or day after , other fluids changed however gearbox only normal change with filter without full flushing ... Is it important to flush ?

Other than in cases where the diff is running dry - never seen the state of the oil make a noticeable difference to refinement.

Hi
Today after the reading of disco forum I made test

I switch to Low mode and use last position of program mode(terrain system) smth like offroad option (diffs blocked I guess)

When I start moving I hear "springing" or creaking sound short(4 seconds maybe) at the begging of moving both on D as well as Reverse

I try to record it and upload to youtube to let you hear
what I am sure it comes form my foot area(under of course)

I suspect front diff however you attention is welcome

Use your headphone for better hearings:amen:

maybe its ok? and this is only some kind of pump!!!!!!

ok in the meantime I checked that sound(link above) at the authorised dealer (sending them video) .. they said its normal in that mode.

Today I checked car again -lift- wheels free and D,
last time I was scared and rm only reached 1700 , now I exceeded 120km per hour and 2200 rpm :D

My friend (mechanic) try to hear smth under the car ,
He found only one think ,rear diff above 2000 rpm rumbling and humming (quite loud)

Is it normal that rear diff without drivetrain tension which is in normal driving condition- humming? As far as I understand ,during normal ride that sound probably accelerate and ?
What do you think about that?

Ok TC changed with some seals and bolts , od course fluid and filter too

Results-awsome ride no vibration , Old TC has some small scratch on near the mointing socket moreover when i shake i feel some loose parts inside

Interesting thing...when i last time chceked transmission fluid , (after the change 3 months ago) and two weeks later everything was ok with level.during TC change we collected only 6 liters o fluid. after the change 9liters got inside easly , strange

Because the TC will be holding a good few litres, so when you fitted the new one, you had to fill that up too hence the extra oil required!

I filled smth about 2 liters to new tc ... Other will be fill with internal transmission pump and "deoxygened ": what is interesting in official workshop manual there is no info about filling tc with fluid before instalation .,the same official ZF biulettin for that GB.i dont belive its because "not writing obvious" its more like trust in pump and natural flaw.

Vibration and slighting vanished however grinding short noise (2seconds maybe) during acceleratin( even soft) remains ... Maybe UJ ?

Maybe Got worse however now i feel vibration on foot area as well as throtle pedal during two condition
1 )when i have 1100-1200 rpm at each gear mostly on 1-2
2 )at each 2200 rpm when at peak rpm of each gear

Hmm hard to estimate cause...i checked vacuum pump around with lamp and mirror ,both intercooler hoses, all ok

Maybe its important on the idle smth near 1300 rpm also small vibration exists however i had the same in both previuos diesel cars (not lr)

Any other ideas?

Andrzejb, did you ever find out what caused your issues?

I have exact same problem with my recently purchased 07 TDV8. I am from Poland as well.

Vibration / buzzing at 2000-2300 when gearchange happens.

Please let me know.
