Which type did you get?
Mine came with one of these. I was going to junk it unitl I found out how usefull it was. Its connected to islolate all the electrics EXCEPT the starter main cable.

****e, plus you have to lift the bonnet/seat box every time you want to use the car, not an issue if the car is a toy.
Ebay heavy duty battery isolator for about 10 quid, some cable roughly a metre or two, and some lugs which you crimp or solder.
