Have read a thread on a similar post to this one but problem seems to be different.

The first morning start of my 1998 TD4 is difficult. I ensure the glo light goes off before starting but it always takes more than 4 attempts to get it going. Once it has run, for the rest of the day it fires up very quickly first time. During the attempts to get it going, it throws out a lot of smoke and when if finally gets going a bloody great cloud wonders off down the street. Starting is more difficult when the temperature is lower but as I live in Sydney Australia, everything is relative. If it is circa 6-10 degrees, then the problem is at its worst.

Any thoughts, I've recently had the injectors renewed for a seperate problme (didnt make any difference).

Cheers
