I'm planning to strip and rebuild both my V8's - they both need rear crank seals so I might as well look at everything while I'm in there!

It's not the engines that are the issue at the mo...it's that bloody RRC bob' that keeps blowing diffs....I should probably dip my hand in my pocket n get recon parts rather than use £20 end of life ebay specials I guess

My plan is:
Not v8 related, pretty sure I've got that covered last year unless it blows up in the meantime!!
Kinda fancy a new winch, kinda fancy refurbing my front axle cos its a bit shabby cosmetically, kinda could do with making a proper job of my front arches that I half bodged a few years ago cos I didn't know how thorough i needed to be, but I think I'll be putting that off forever if possible!
Oooooh I would like a bigger alternator but its not so easy for a V belt engine due to availability.
Aaaaaaand I would like to swap for a decent R380 gearbox, aaaaand I'd like to rebuild my other 3.5 (and of course I'd like a stroker kit for it) but did I mention money doesn't grow on trees?!

I'll take a gander cheers but think the 4.2 will need opening up as I don't know its history. I know it runs but think I will give it head gaskets and check condition of cam and followers etc so might as well tear it down and do it all properly.
