Good Morning happy Christmas i hope everyone has a good day.
My Names Rob, proud owner of Hank The Tank my 1971 series 3 109 station wagon/estate/5 door running a 2.5 turbo deisel. I know its not the best engine but was in the tank when i got him and it works! pictures will follow.

Straight in there asking for help advise.

The altonator is broken. Out put check and its general state of condition say its time to replace it. The question is as this is an early 90 alternator to the best of my knowlege, and has rated out put that is rather poor. Basically i can rebuild an alternator but was after suggestions of a decent rated one that will work well for hank. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

many thanks and Happy Christmas again.

Rob.

Cheers for that i used to own pre 40's cars where parts are none exsiting or just not up to todays reuirements. Was more interested in spec requirements etc as can happily manufacture mountings etc and redesign wiring aspects etc to make the desired part work for my needs. You say your running a 120amp imay ask what kit you use generally. E.g. Winch, extra lights and is that enough power for the job. As i feel getting one that can cope with current set up is one thing but may not meet fyputure requiements when other items are added. My thanks for your help and hope you are having a good christmas
