why does handbrake keep sticking disco 1 good shoes, and have lubed

lubed all linkages inside and outsid drum if u hit drum with hammer drum frees

i would quess you either have a lip on the drum and the shoues are sticking on that or they are sticking on the backplate

thanks i wiil try that 2morrow when i take handbrake off and drive it breaks free but binds only started when she got a bit muddy

Mine was the opposite wouldn't work ended up putting a new expander unit on it.
your may be stuck out?
Made all the difference, check the transfer box oil seal whilst ya at it

May be the handbrake is adjusted up to to tightly there should be at leased 3 clicks before being on. Mine was sticking so I slackend off the shoes fully and then adjusted to the 3 clicks no more problems.
