Hi all, Have just reassembled the drum, prop shaft etc on my '99 TD5 D2,after a long term oil leak from gearbox wrecked the shoes. the only problem is that despite adjusting the brake as usual, after driving the car it needed doing again! Ive now driven and adjusted twice but with MOT booked for Saturday I was wondering whether anyone else had experienced this problem. Its worth adding that I did install the new adjsuter bolt which came with the shoes. Any thoughts would be welcome:confused:
 
Havent tried the cable as adjusting the drum achieved 3 notches both times. Hopefully the shoes will settle then.
 
new oil seal, clean shoes and drum with brake cleaner and roughen with sand paper or wet and dry-top up transfer box

Check the mechanism is free
