Quick update on this.
All sorted. Was a combination of the fact i hadn't actually used the adjuster, and the fact that the 'plunger' was in fact in the wrong position and should have been filling the gap at the front.
It all adjusted up ok and despite having worked the handbrake a good few times during adjustment to centre the shoes.. i took her for a run and then it all went slack, so i ended up doing it again. This time from within the cab with centre seat removed.
On to the next job now. The door lock wont open with key lol. Had to climb in through passenger side.
I swear one of you lot are coming here over night and messing these things up to give me a cha;llenge :scratching_chin:
