Hi All!
Just got my freelander back from having new fuel pump fitted and now when driving (obviously, handbrake is off) the handbrake light flashes on and off randomly, especially going up hill. Checked fluid level which is ok, so could they have knocked something when fittin the fuel pump? and if so, what?

cheers

p,s, did a search but nothing showed up for freelanders.

from my recollection, only two things make that light flash, handbrake switch (maybe connector disturbed) or brake fluid level switch, so check connectors there too.

Cheers optimus prime, you was spot on with your diagnosis.:D

After a fiddle about with the connector/plug that goes into the brake fluid resevoir, everything seems ok now, it was slightly bent so i presume the mechanic must have leant on it or knocked it.

Thanks again!

It's easy to catch (and even break) the brake fluid level connector when removing the sound deadening cover. Glad yours was only loosened.
