Are you able to help me? Car turned across my path, my driver’s wing and bumper and handbrake were damaged - insurance do not understand why handbrake damaged, but I can assure you it was. Any suggestions?

Some info required, well any info at all would be a start

Standard practice is to go to the introduce yourself section which you have and say hello, then post your question in the correct section of the forum so you get the correct answer, you most likely need to post in the ewok section.

Hi, try the fender section. Also, is it not the insurance companies problem and job to find out and fix it?

I thought so too, but the NFU engineer (my insurance) cannot see how it would be. Currently transferred to Inverness 4x4, as I trust Hamish (but not the dealer in Inverness). I told them I thought they should choose a garage for repairs who could repair everything!

At a push the handbrake shoes may have been dislodged. Or the adjuster has become loose allowing shoes to wedge on drum.

Hi there and welcome
Has there been any chassis damage? How has damage to the handbrake presented itself?
