hi all

just a question
does anyone know if it is possible for me to install hand control for accelerator and brake into a landy

my OH is disabled and has to drive with his hand no use of right leg.
He is buying me a landy and i guess as a good will jester i have to try and install controls for him to drive wont be often mind you (just to keep him happy im showing a bit of willing )

so any suggestions would be great (or should he just not drive it)
the landy will be a s3 or a 110 unsure yet open to offers still lol

you can get a steering wheel with the accelerator inside itand teh brake just to the side. or you can have both brake and accelerator on the same rod. the steering wheel one comes in either mechanical or electronic. as the electronic one has a small amount of movement it is not best suited to off road use.
the mechanical one would be the best choice as it let you keep both hand on the wheel where as the brake/acc rod doesn't.

also if you get an auto you can have a accel pedal that will 'flip' over to the other side of the brake so it can be operated by the other foot

i know what u mean about the rod we currently have one in the zaffira (and he struggles when needing to turn and change gear )

biggest problem now is its possible DAM !!!! will have to allow him to drive lol

if you can get a bracket made up i have a couple of steering wheels left from when i used to fit the stuff.if you do a search for guido simplex you'll see what i mean

looks like the best option for us.

will enquire about bracket locally. can you let me know how much you are after for the stering wheel.

my OH is loving this help grrrrrr means he gets to drive also LOL

you can have it for the postage cost, i might even have a brake lever kicking about. i'll see what i can find tomorrow

i heard that too, it could be true, he does live in a remote cottage, probably piles the bodies up in his shed
