Yes of course you can ride along in mine. Don't think we'll need a tirfor, well I hope we won't, Darren has a winch on his.

Not sure about the maps, I need to speak to Darren, but I think it makes sense for him to lead the hard group as he knows the lanes, so we won't be getting lost and dicking about doing 3 point turns everywhere  In which case we won't need maps.

You can bring a banjo though, cause there is no fooking radio in the truck cab :D

cant do banjo but i can find a harmonica :D
do you need to pick it up from your place in ripley? if so it would probably be easiest for me to meet you there?? I'll pm you my number

problem with doing two routes is if anyone on the easy route does get stuck - we will have very little recovery equipment.

By easy - I dont actually mean Sunday motoring, just not much chance of severe damage, just stripping of paint and a couple of technical sections. One of which is fine going down (with care) but a killer going up. I was thinking of maybe the guys wanting a challenge to try going up, whilst the guys not wishing to destroy their motors could watch in awe and take pics?

Please do not forget that these are green lanes - not pay and play sites.

I will not be a party to ripping them up deliberately.

I have already seen one group going orf-piste, with no good coming of it.

I haven't forgotten, but I thought when you said easy, you meant gay :D But my mistake, it sounds like you have the stepps in the route, so fair play to you :D

Of course if there are 8 of us we need to be in two groups anyway, but if anyone in another group needs rescuing we won't be far away. Also you shouldn't really be getting into more trouble than a tow rope could cure ;)

Drewster and gotoneatlast (with no difflock!!) have voted on the poll, but have not expressed any other interest in attending the 27th.

The polling has given me an idea for a slogan for my new number plates....

go hard, or go home :D

Thanks for the Grid Ref's, but my geograpical knowledge is non existant, so I don't know if that is the lane I'm thinking of, but rolling down a mountain into trees sounds like a worthwile challenge ;)

And I got the number 8 from my crystal ball which says that is how many people will eventually turn up on the day.. :D

The only thing i am short of is a winch, not working but got rope etc.
MHM ive PM'd you my phone numbers.

At the risk of attracting the wild ridicule of all present, I would have been interested in exploring the easy lanes near Basingstoke in my FL1... but I have been "assigned" other duties on Sunday so wouldn't be able to come along to be teased mercilessly anyway. :)

Saves me proving I know where the recovery points on my vehicle are anyway...

Hope you have fun.

most of the lanes I drive are suitable for a gaylander, except they are/can be very scratchy.
