I'm going to be away for a few days, and as money's rather tight at the moment, I'm planning to sleep in my 90 hardtop.

I'm not very tall (5'7ish), and I reckon a hammock from front to back or corner to corner will easily be big enough for me.

My question is: any suggestions for the best way to attach the hammock?

My 90 is pretty new (13 plate), and doesn't have any modifications to it. I'm happy to add stuff / drill holes / cut stuff... just looking for guidance.

I did this ages ago and it worked fine, held both my mate and i's weight (though not at the same time)
I attached it to the bolts along the top of the windscreen frame and the bolts at the rear that hold the roof on. Need to make sure its tight otherwise it'll sag down and you'll be resting on the interior bulkhead which won't be comfortable

Right, I'd identified the bolts at the rear as one side, but the other side is less easy. Mine has a sort of cover thing at the front, and no easy access to any bolts. There's a place where the sun visors are attached which looks pretty sturdy, but no other obvious attachments.

See attached pictures. From roughly the middle (in line with the bulkhead) covering the whole of the ceiling of the van, snug up to the window.

At the front it's only held up by the two screws on each sun visor and the metal bracket that the rear view mirror clips into, it should then drop down enough for you to get access to the bolts.

I just removed the mirror (it popped out easily enough), so I can see the metal bracket. Is there a knack to getting the mirror back on again? I can't seem to get it to pop back in.

Will have a look at the cover now.

Both visors removed, and the 3 screws around the bracket into which the rear-view mirror fits also removed. The lining doesn't seem to be any loser - is there a place to lever / push it?

All its held in by now are trim clips. Some above the doors on either side and along the middle of the roof. Don't be shy about pulling it down slightly
