Anyone used these before and are they worth the bother of buying and fitting them? my headlights are crappy at the best of times so anything to make them brighter would help. if not these any other suggestions?

Thank you for pointing out about the previous thred i will look for it now, as for searching for an old post how can I get the opionions of people who may be reading my post now but may have missed the one a few weeks ago:confused:

Its by asking new questions and keeping the forum active as opposed to a research database. I would have thought that most topics have been covered by now as these cars are 20 plus years old.

I'm afraid I agree too, people are often critisiced for not searching.

I've no doubt we've scared off many good people by keyboard warriors scaring them off...

As for searching.. I find if you search it fills most gaps.. But there are often a few left over so you end up having to start a thread anyway!

But hallogen are just coming to lite

I fitted halogens to my old Series2A and they are b----y marvellous. It makes a nice change to be able to see well ahead. The old sealed beam units were about as much use as a candle in a jam jar.

Thanks for all the answers guys, I guess its a case of shove em in and see (excuse the pun) they have got to be better than the ones that are in there.

If not then back on ebay they go! :D

Had them crystal halogens fitted a couple of years, only problem is they aint sealed so after a few trips fording deep water the inside of the lens got shagged and a £40 they aint exactly cheap. That said the old sealed beams are really ****e by comparison, but at least the keep working even under water! Think for me it will be crappy sealed beams and roof lights.

have got a set of wipac halogens that came fitted to the 90 and made a massive difference in comparison to the old sealed beam units on my old 110.

only problem is whoever fitted them has cut away the lamp bowls for some reason as there was no need to do it and like daz says has a good chance to cause me problems when it comes to water.

Saying that though, for £20+ a set I wont mind replacing them every few years.

Just did a quick search and H4 halogens sealed units 7" 28.95quid a set solves your water problem

Would recommend fitting some spot lights as well or at least some driving lights.

I fitted 2 of these (Ring driving lights microline) to my front bumper today. (in front of the grill)

(not my disco btw)

I've yet to try em so dunno how good they are. All I know is that light is kinda important! Don't know about you guys but most of my off road whoopsie daisy moments have happened at night!

If I had a Defender I'd get some Hellabig spots, like this:

I bought 4 of these.... 2 sets of 2 but not fitted them yet. I went to the shop and bought them rather than ebay. They are going on my roof rack. I believe thay are quite good.... cant see them being as good a 2 Wipacs but I wanted to keep mine looking not too sporty.... its an age thing lol

PS>>>> Anyone have these fitted??
