With my roof rails, roof, rear wheel carrier and rear light guards look dull and drap with paint peeling off the rails.I went down to Halfords to get some metal paint and some back to black but found this bed liner stuff at 9 quid I thought I would give it a try.Went on well and gave a nice textured finish.

Cheers

It was just Halfords truck bed paint I can’t find it online otherwise I would send you the link on the receipt it says the product code is 311511 hope that helps.

Thanks will be interesting I would have thought with it been a truck bed liner it would but it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t

Great thanks, will have a search in y local Halfords.

Cheers

Yeah, I like that. Cheaper than Raptor and Buzzweld ... Might give it a try, but where do I start .. ;)

I only got it to do the rails then got carried away I’m going to do the rest of the outside plastic trim in it now.Only downside is I can’t find it online to look at the reviews so it’s a bit of a lottery with it.

Just spoke to Halfords it’s an order in product the product code brings it straight up on there system

Thanks , will pop in and see what they say, may even ask if it has a trade card discount..:p

Cheers

I tried the Halfords stuff first but after about 30 seconds the nozzel clogged up beyond recovery and I took it back.
Looking at your results perhaps I should have persevered.

Local halfords have it and store it on the shelf...only 1 can visible though, but it had its own shelf price label. Asked if it was a stock item and was told it is. Price £9.99 or £8.49 with the card.

looking forward to giving it is go. Thanks @Danyou .

I seen that on the reviews on other Halfords spray cans I just used it and put the nozzle in thinners in between coats, they might have improved it somehow but I didn’t have any bother with the three cans I used.

Looking great.
I've used stone chip with great results too. A bit less textured and probably less hard wearing but I was happy with the results and is a good option if you don't like the textured look.

The texture isn’t anywhere near as ruff as the raptor stuff,it’s a nice happy medium and cheaper.I have done all the plastic trim in it now think I got a little carried away.

I used mine yesterday on diff guards and a storage box lid ( laycorn box ) in the back, looks OK, will have to do the rest of the box now and bed now. Goes on quite well. Although to be honest I am not sure what real protection it would provide compared to the real thick bed liners jobs you get professionally done, but it is a hell of a lot cheaper- so me likely a lot.....:p

May do the winch bumper , as well. :D

Cheers

I only done it for the aesthetics as the plastics and the roof rails where shot,I did how ever mang to drop a lump of wood on the roof ‍♀️and it didn’t chip and the dust just washed off

Thought I'd share my pics after using the truck bed liner.
I sprayed all the black trim on the car including the the little round covers on the quarter windows the roof rails and roof and the bonnet brow and wheels.
There is no fading no chipping even on the wheels after nearly two years, the stuff is great very easy to use, I have just bought a new front bumper with fog lights and will be spraying it tonight before I fit it.
Should also mention I sprayed the inside of the detachable roof and boot plastics which I then clear coated does a really nice job at renewing the trim.
