Hi folks

It is pay day today - so I can finally buy a new battery. My old one is truly knackered.
Halfords do a Calcium sealed type for £95 >HERE<
It is for a Disco 2 TD5

Does anyone have any comments on it?
It is handy for me, as Halfords is only a short walk from my house.

Cheers
Mark

072 is a Bog standard battery for the D1, Td5s require a 110Ah battery I believe.
But get your trade card out and get this battery for £66.50 :D

I got one of these from Tayna for my 300tdi

Enduroline CXV-X 1000 Amp X 1 @ £ 69.50 Each

+ postage.

Quick delivery .

Try europarts usually alot cheaper than Halfords
Actually, I was surprised at Eurocarparts. They seem to stock regular lead-acid types for mine - and are similar in price to the Yuasa one above. My problem is that I don't have time to wait. I am meant to using my Landy tomorrow morning to shift a trailer and my closest battery stockist is either Halfords or the old UNIPART motor factors.

OK....for £124, I can get >THIS< tomorrow morning from my local Autosessive (formerly UNIPART).
115 Ah
1000A

They list it as correct for the TD5 Disco...just hope it fits!

We use Yuasa SLA batteries, never had an issue with them. Lots of modern cars use Yuasa and they can last 10 years
Measure your battery tray first, the diamensions of your new battery are in your link, even if the tray size is okay check the battery hight is okay also

to simplify the D2 td5 battery compliance thing: 110AH / 850 CCA was factory fitted, DONT FIT ANYTHING BELOW THAT AH, period, brand and price is the ''customer's'' choice :)
