hi
tightened my bearings up on the rear wheels the other day and found that when put back together i have about 4 or 5mm play in and out on my half shaft. is this right as manual says end float should be 0.2mm. is this refering to same thing and if so whats wrong?? :confused:
 
4mm shim? thats a big shim isnt it? also what do you do to get it back to how it is originally? ie from new
 
rear half shafts can have a lot of end float it wont hurt they cant come out of drive flange ,front is more critical as cv position has to be maintained so as not to effect steering,thats why front have shims and rear dont
