theres loads look at this 140387197903 on ebay, there are quite a few, i have been watching them for a few weeks and could pick up summat reasonable for about £400-£500
With a galvanised chassis? I've seen that one it's been "sold" on there before a few weeks ago. It's not running, is in bits and doesn't have any ****in documents! It's basically a pile of spare parts. Bodywork looks nice and shiny so somebody will buy it. Thing is with 4-500 quid landies is that very often in the cold light of day they're worth about 200 quid down the scrapper. It's quite posible to buy one and find there's nothing worth saving on it.

that'll not go for much more than it's scrap value
It didn't last time it was on. Bit less than 300 quid if I remember. If it was a bit closer I'd have had it, robbed any decent bits off it then scrapped the rest. Might still do if it finishes up cheap enough:D

was thinking 250 but suppose if 2 people really want it they might get 400 for it - then there's the grand + that'll be needed to put it back on the road

Puttin it back on the road wouldn't be part of my plan. Neither would paying more than about 200 quid for it:D

I have just looked at the one on ebay that he says is ''summat reasonable''

He's not gonna buy a polished turd....he's going for a turd and cutting out the middle-man.

For someone on a tight budget that one is an absolute moneypit....steer clear unless you're gonna break it like the lads above would..

Jesus, i'm amazed you even considered that after the sensible start to the thread...

the only reason i considered it was coz its round the corner from my dads, so it would be easily collected and as above, i wouldnt have paid any more than a few hundred quid for it , so if it was a complete shed i could either resell or break it (gives the little lad summat to do) and get my money back

My mate is after a lightweight. He wants something he can do some work on not a minter. He's gonna be selling his series 1 because it doesn't need anything doing to it and he's bored. How much dya want for it?

About £700 ono

Just looking at the pix shows what a dog it is...i can understand that the other one was a basket as well, but it still had the galv chassis...it isnt rocket science to put a complete rear tub on..i saw one go for £40 on ebay...you can basically do whatever you want, a truck cab, hard-top etc...i'd def go for the rebuild on the galv chassis rather than tarting something up that ends up turning into a pile of rust-dust on your drive...

If the galv chassis one is as bad as you say....go with cash and see how low he will go...you may be surprised, and if not ...well what have you lost??

P.S A galv chassis, new, is about £1200....

any test on it ?? what does it need?

Been on a sorn for about 12 mths starts +drives ok,two small holes in the chassis need welding, had a hinge pannel on the drivers side needs one on the passengers side, got one but no time to fit it.engine came out of a low miles 110 td.
