Having looked through a lot of previous threads regarding the DSP amp, Part number XQK100340-- has anyone found anything that is compatible with it? I am after a replacement unit as mine has given up, and they seem as rare as rocking horse **** second hand. I don't want to go down the aftermarket install route, and when it all works properly i think it's a good sound system. Any help would be great, cheers all

i had same problem on my 200 vogue mate. searched high and low. I as a temporary measure ended up using a disco one, but it only played through front speakers and cd changr didnt work. like i saID temp measure. just message everyone on ebay who is breaking a p38! good luck and be preparer 20 pay 150 quid minimum.
Gazzab79, which disco model did you use?, disco 1, Td5 etc. That might have to suffice for now as lack of sound means i have to listen to the V8 roar!
Yeah so i understand. I don't want to have to change everything, i am looking for a s/h amp unit, or i might go down new route!! was hoping to find something to give me some sound for now. I like the original set up and as it has factory sat nav it will be a ball ache changing it all! cheers for your reply though.

ok it was this one. 99-00 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY II RADIO AMPLIFIER XQK100210. bought mine from usa. got it much cheaper! search world wide when looking for these kind of parts as you an get bargains and they are out there. also get them to ship it as a gift so you dont get taxed!

If you listen to the radio, be careful about buying from abroad, cos there are different waveband settings, for instance my jap re-import radio would only pick up radio 2, cos the search ended there. Have you rang the rangie breakers, such as this site's sponsors? If they haven't one they have cars arriving for breaking regularly and one of them must have a working sound system. I'm sure if you ask they'll give you a ring when they have one, just a thought
Thanks for your post, it would be just the Amp that i change, everything else seems ok. Have tried loads of breakers yards, will keep looking...........not an easy task!!
