Have just purchased a Gunson Eezibleed kit with the intention of flushing / bleeding the brakes. Being Billy No Mates these days, I'm hoping this will help with the process. The missus is not really up to helping out with the standard procedure. I've previously used one some years back on my Classic no problem, other than none of the supplied caps fitted well and I ended up butchering a cap off a scrapper. I've read the caps don't fit the P38 all that well either. This time I think I'll ring Gunson and get a proper cap. So I presume as long as I follow the specific order of bleeding each bleed screw as stated in Rave, combined with the use of the Gunson kit, this should work correctly? Any comments from experience appreciated.
 
Let me know how you get on. My missus isn't that reliable either!

Can you get a cap off the tip and then drill a hole through the top? Did that for my first cavalier and still using the same cap now!
 
I drilled a hole on a cap I got from the scrappy, worked a treat. Also did the same for motorbikes with the rectangle caps
 
How did you get on Stufer? Did it work or did you go out and buy a non-return valve?
 
I don't know why you need a kit like that when you have a abs pump that pumps for you
Can't she turn the key on and off lol
 
Isn't there a chance of suck-back when the pump switches off or are there 1 way valves along the way somewhere?

Correct bleeding instructions for this car are very specific and must be followed to the letter. All you really need is a bleed pipe with a NRV fitted.

I tried explaining MANY years ago to my missus to push the pedal down and keep it down when I say "down" and let it up and keep it up when I say "up". Pretty simple, I thought, for a sex supposedly adept at multitasking. What a mistaka-to-maka. Shortly afterwards I invested in an Ezi-bleed kit. The thought of explaining down and up AND 4 seconds on the ignition is a martial upset just waiting to happen! Non-return valve is the way to go! Or a helpful neighbour!

Two six inch or so lengths of 4mm bore Silicone tube, one two foot length of suitable clear tube. Insert clear tube into six inch Silicone tube. Insert other end of clear tube into another six inches of Silicone tube. Block one silicone tube with a suitable bolt. Cut a small slit about 12 mm long in Silicone along it's length near blocked end. You will then have a bleeding tube with an NRV simples. Cost minimal.
