It seems the latch/locking mechanism has gone on both front doors of my 96 P38 2.5TD auto.. He fob locks the back fine but can only manually do the front.

Is there a good guide out there with pics or a video showing how to strip the door down and remove the mechanism?

Can they be repaired diy or is it a matter or new/second hand ones?

Also what part exactly is required? I read about it most likely being the motors burnt out.. This is my first range rover so all quite new to me. If anyone can link to eBay with what I need that'd be greatly appreciated.

Same on those models as the 2.5 yeah? Any idea exactly what part I need, ie link to on eBay? Thanks mate and sorry, my first p38 just got it the other day so not 100% clued up on parts. Cheers

Yes locks are the same for the 2.5 as the V8s. Don't think parts to repair the locks are available. Look on Island 4x4 as that is where I got mine from. See here:
