so actually it happens when you dip the clutch at high revs really.. next question.. park up, clutch in 1st gear, rev up high does that car start to move?
another thing to try, hand brake hard on, 2nnd gear (presume it's a derv, for petrol try first) lift the clutch slowly, should stall just after it reaches bite point
if it does, try holding the clutch down for a while with the car in the same gear and the handbrake on... does the car rock back and forth...
meanwhile I'll have a look at the rave cd for ya
:jaw::wtf:a decent indi garage should be able to change a disco clutch for around the £450 mark
yer may get it cheaper...
After lying under a car for a weekend wressling a gearbox, i'd pay that, it's an arse to change!
not as easy as a depender is to do but still very DIYable
this might elp make up someones mind to DIY it to not
Discovery clutch change - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum
I'll have a look at that later, question though, how heavy is the gearbox? i.e. 1 man or 2 man job?
I think Seans rates are quite reasonable tho .
