Thought I'd best pop in and say hi!

Recently bought my first Land Rover, a sort of black Freelander TD4 on a 51 plate.

This is my first ownership, but driven/crashed/built/lived in many variants in my previous life in the Army.

I'll admit, mine is mainly for road use, but I can fit plenty of mountain bikes, spares and bodies in the back and it gets me to where I need to be with minimum fuss!

I'm based out of Blandford, regularly all over the county. Gimme a wave, or better still, a push.

Gaylanders - bought by cheapskates who really wanted a Rangie.

Wow, handbags are out in force!

It's a more practical step up from my previous car, Mitsubishi FTO. Sort of missed, but not by my bank account or neighbours.

Mines not technically a Gaylander, it's in limbo, thinking it's a little bit bi.

Fto to freelander I went from a bmw coupe so know the need for space. Good little run arounds but buy a spare clutch if you want to take it offroad oh and a couple of head gaskets and infest in some good recovery gear front prop uj and erm a fire extinguisher.

Yeah, I'm going to have to get used to space, seeing where I'm going, being quiet, being slow, not feeling every bump in the road, and not being able to instantly hit 70 (ish) mph from a standing start....
